The Hurd Family College Tour 2025: DMV edition was nothing short of amazing. Organized by Breshae Davis, we had the honor of chaperoning five bright young minds on an unforgettable journey through the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia also know as the DMV.
Our mission was simple but powerful. Expose the youth to excellence by visiting some of the most prestigious and historic HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) in the country. We took the students to 5 amazing schools which included: Howard University, Hampton University, Norfolk State University, Bowie State University, and Morgan State University. From learning fun and interesting facts to experiencing each schools pride and dedication there is no other program where you can get this type of exposure and knowledge to expand the mind to bigger goals and possibilities.
The success of this year’s tour was just the beginning. We’re already gearing up for 2026 and we want to share some exciting news with you all.
We will be launching a fundraiser to support even more students in next year’s journey and we’re excited to announce the creation of a nonprofit organization dedicated to college exposure, mentorship, sports events, school sponsors and youth development.
Our goal is to continue opening doors and breaking down barriers for our students to see how big the world is and to expand the mind to endless possibilities.
